What is the difference between
Chinese communist party and Chinese people?
China’s dream of winning international prestige and
super nation status by sending Olympic torch to the
world, have been destroyed. Olympic torch only brought
humiliation to China in London Paris and San Francisco
by demonstrations against the Chinese communist
party’s aggressive crack down on protest in Tibet and
protest in East Turkistan. Unfortunately, thousand of
pro – China Chinese immigrants in Canada marched to
the streets last week to show their government’s
position on Tibet and East Turkistan. Do these pro
china protesters know why it is impossible for them to
gain respect from the world? Don’t they know that is
just because of their authoritarian government?
Tibetan leader Dalai Lama has been saying in 50 years
already that they want only greater autonomy and they
have not any problems with Chinese people but with
Chinese government. Uyghurs in East Turkistan also
want justice and freedom and want to get back their
own country from the Chinese communist rule only.
It is obvious that Chinese people knows very well that
world hates their government, not the Chinese people.
However, Chinese people did not see the difference
between them and their government. Nationalistic
Chinese character did not allow them think logically,
as a result, pro China protest did not gain any voice
from democratic world but gain worse ugly image that
all Chinese are nationalist and all Chinese are
communist.
“If Chinese people do not want to world hate them,
they should differentiate themselves from their
oppressive communist government” said Abdujelil
Karakash , the president of ETIC.
What would happen if world did not care about China’s
human rights record? And did not criticize the Chinese
government despite the Chinese government’s aggressive
rule in East Turkistan and Tibet?
“Chinese people would believe that their government is
the most super government that could bring prestige to
the Chinese nation, and they would be fall in love
with their aggressive government more than ever. That
could be empower the danger and intensify the
massiveness of the threat to the world ” said most of
the Uyghur intellectuals in Uyghur Diaspora.
